this is when I said Axl overused the raspy voice, if he had tone it down a litlle bit it would have been better for both the live performances and his voice overall, but then again whats done is done and we can't change the past...

Its quite a masterpeice isnt it? Its based on a dream Axl had. November Rain is about not wanting to be in a state of having to deal with unrequited love, Estranged is about "being there and acknowleadging it an trying to figre out what the Fk to do"

That might be tied into the breakdown of his marriage with the lyrics "What more could you ask of me?, How can you sy that I never needed you? When you took everything from me"

yes but in songs like this (where the clean voice actually sounds better) he should have not used as much of the raspy voice, take for example SCOM it sounds great with raspy voice and even better with a clean one (as in the album) yet he choosed to use the raspy voice hurting both live performances and his voice of course there are songs like WTTJ and LALD where the raspy voice is needed but you get my point
