Suzuki Motor Corporation exhibited the "PIXY" and "SSC" futuristic electric vehicles at CEATEC JAPAN 2008, which was held at the Makuhari Messe convention center.

The PIXY is a single-rider, low-speed electric vehicle that is shaped like an egg and can travel at a maximum speed of 6km per hour. It is also easy to drive due to the one handed mouse pad based computer controls installed next to the driver's seat.

The SSC (Suzuki Sharing Coach) on the other hand is a fuel cell vehicle that can travel at speeds as fast as 100km per hour with up to two PIXY vehicles stored inside. With this design, riders can use the PIXY for traveling short distances and then seamlessly fit inside the SSC unit to travel longer distances.

Suzuki has designated the PIXY and SSC as vehicles of the near future and is proposing the vehicles as concept cars that are based on the idea of collective ownership.
