PS3 lense cleaning

I did this video because I thought the lens in my Blue Ray Drive was dirty (it wasn't, so it either bummed out on me, or my entire Blue Ray Drive went out). So this Video is to more or less show you how to clean the lens.

Here are some tips that will help you out, if you are brave enough to do this (and they are common sense/stupid tips)
1.) Turn on your playstation, press the eject button.
I did this with a game in there and I spent quite a few hours fixing the problem that it solved

2.) For each step of taking apart my play station, I had zip lock bags for all the screws/accessories that I took out of the play station

3.) Either have lots of light turned on, or a flash light (sometimes i had a hard time seeing the screws in the beginning)

If you think you screwed something up on your ps3 I used this guys info a lot

My PS3 Wasn't reading games or blue-ray dvds (regular dvds worked). I followed this video to clean my blue-ray lense and it solved my problem. Thank you for a great video. Once passed the intro there's some good valuable info.

P.S.: Very important to make sure that theres no disc before starting this as will it create another issue that will give you a bad headache.

Hello, I had problem, video was great , but now for some reason, my PS wont insert, eject or spin properly, I thought I followed directions pretty well, what did i do wrong to cause this?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think you could just buy a Lens Cleaner (you shouldn't have a problem finding one that works on PS3, your DVD players, and a bunch of other things) and insert it into your PS3.

i have a 1st version ps3,never had any trouble ,tonight i put in uncharted 3 and the music seems stop or "freeze" during in the game and the cinnamas freeze as well.there no "freezing" problem thou during gameplay i cleaned the disk, but nothing, i put in arkham city and it does the same.anyone know whats going on with it?thanks!
