i'm 45, went 20,000 into debt student loan,commercial art when i got out computers became the next wave,my jobs were unrelated to that education,that debt. was a huge weight for over a decade.i have opportunity to work all kinds of jobs, i'm not getting rich (tread water like gen.x)but i learn all kinds of different things, you learn to hold a job even if you hate it,untill you can find somthing better,but you have to perform,it keeps the boss off your ass and the wolves away from the door

@fourtriangles2112 If you don't mind my asking, have you found a great job or business as of this time? I know all to well how you feel about working and doing the best we can to get rid of debt and have a good life. If you have not yet found the perfect business or job I hope you find the one you like best.

just another point,having had to work outside of the field i had studied you learn so many different things,having to constantly re-invent yourself and trying to make a living you approach each task ,each day, each job like it's your first day, do your best make things run smoothly,without incident,no waves,you can learn things you probably never considered,i did bee keeping for 4 years pryor to my current work,every day is an adventure,you have to work for a living,try to find a silver lining

work at a dog kennel, i am hired help a dog handler, with this job 4 years, few ups, downs but i have worked a lot harder for a lot less, have to remind myself of that now and then,i think for some of the younger folks they lack the experience to realise just how easy a gig this is,a new job or a series of them can be a real eye opener.Have to point out however my boss(owner)is my age and he is very lazy,more lazy than many of the girls, the kids may key on his example,his daughter sure does,
