@MrHopskipjump123 a dead star will emit no light pretty much like a astroid, so until its close enough to get the reflection from our sun then its invisible unless its a ploy just to wake people up to the fact its a possible scenario that could play out in the near future?

@DagonBlood27 "wandering around without an orbit"? Orbital phsyics are an exact science. The British newspaper The Independent "says it's 4 times the size of Jupiter". From where did they get this info? Jupiter can be seen with the naked eye, and is 390,682,810 miles from earth. This "planet" is "15,000 times farther than the Sun than earth". That's 1,395,000,000 miles. Jupiter from earth times 4 is 1,562,731,240 - fairly similar. So why can't we see it when we can see Jupiter???
