A slideshow i compiled of Vincent van Gogh's work. I tried to find as many of his paintings as possible, which spanned his short career, to show you why to me he is one of the best Artists ever, enjoy. The song used in the video is 'La Tristesse Durera' by the Manic Street Preachers, throughout the video. The song was based on a quote by Theo van Gogh, after his brother attempted suicide, 'La Tristesse Durera Toujurs'. (Saddness shall last forever)

It was Van Gogh that taught me you can see the Divine in nature. This music brings Vincent to life into today's world.

@stormyskywryter That as may be but you cannot appreciate the brushwork remotely. It's far more impressive in close up .
Kagemusha does a great job with these slideshows but I'm sure he'd agree seeing the painting in 'person' is important too.

well here is a lirrle fact for you. vincent suffered from manic depression. the manic street preachers original lyricist suffered from it aswell, but now its known as bipolar.
you've took two artists with the same condition and despite the years both artists were apart, their work still goes together really well.

The picture of Vincent at the end is the last one he aloud to take, after that he only painted himself.

Yeah, 'Starry Night' is the one depicting a large shadow hanging over a village, with the night sky running in a left-to-right movement.
