Thanks for giving him such a hard time. Gymnastics is one of those sports that takes YEARS to learn. Not that i'm saying he's a novice, I actually thought it was pretty good, hell I can't do it. But the point is, leave him B and don't criticize.

i only last 4 seconds like that xDDD (though i only started to practiced 5 fays ago)

wow it looks like you have to be really strong to do this, the muscles in your back, arms and shoulders have to be very trained, how much time did you practise to accomplish this?

whats the more important for a pike press flexibility or strength cuz i can get a straddle press handstand without many problems but a pike press is rather difficult in comparison

@planchentrick Hi there
Yes, although flexibility (of putting your straight legs on your chest) will help you do it, the most important thing here is the strength in your shoulders. I saw the video you posted in your channel and congrats!, that press was awesome, so you are strong. Now try holding the squat support for 10 to 20 sec with straight arms, so that only your hands touch the ground.

Do you need to able to hold a planche to be able to press from a pike position? or is flexibility the only requirement? hmm

Planche?!!...no need to to be that strong. Being flexible and strong on your shoulder openers will certainly help you on the pike press...just like having long arms will help too, if you start from a sitting L position
