Really annoys me when people label Carlin's later stuff as 'bitter and cynical'. Talk about getting the wrong end of the stick, how was he bitter? Did he slander different races and homosexuals. No. Did he complain about where he was in life and blame other people for his failings? No. He told us his views on the planet and the people, and what genius views too. What wrong with being cynical? He was a realist and there is nothing wrong with critical and cynical thinking, he did not harm anybody
