Storytelling for screen is no longer restricted to big budget cinema
releases and television series commissioned by major networks.
This is leading to lucrative opportunities for multi‐skilled students
to generate their own highly creative, captivating productions.
Twenty young West Australian students from the University of
Western Australia have recently returned from their cultural
exchange to Singapore. Their mutual passion for film and culture
prompted their involvement in an intensive three‐week course
in video production and television studio work, using state of the
art facilities at Temasek Polytechnic University.
This intensive course at Temasek has given students the opportunity to gained an even more comprehensive view of industry practices in the Pre‐Production, filming and post‐production stages of Film & Video Production.
The task the students faced was to recreate a scene from a movie
of their choice as accurately and professionally as possible within
the constraints of a limited budget and schedule- 3 days for filming, 4 days for editing.
Our group decided to recreate Alfred Hitchcock's iconic horror scene from Psycho. Considering we made this video within in a week, we're very happy with the outcome!
Gracias, habeis hecho algo digno y con respeto.
