  • help somebody,,, i was taught that after pricking, the `first blood` should be wiped, then `squeeze` the finger, the `second blood` is used to load and measure??????

  • @kofiata I have always used the first blood.

  • I use the side of my ring finger, seems like it is less painful and a very good blood specimen!

  • @carolmpetersonrn avoiding the pads of the finger prints certainly helps as there are a lot of nerve ending there.

  • This guy may be a professional unless it has changed since when the video was made I was taught through my class that never use it where the nerve endings are on your fingers because thats where the sensative areas are.

  • @PrincessMeggy025 you would not do it right over the pads of the finger, yes there are heaps of nerve endings there. I just just to the side of that area and I don't get pain.

  • @KentSorvik it's not all machines that you can use non finger blood. You need to check with the manufacturer. I do know that there are some machines however that let you use arm blood.

  • In norway everything you need for youre diabetes is free intil youre 16 years old :)
