    Use lots of air, and whinny like you mean it! Remember, that whinny comes right after the crack of the whip in the tune, so think about how much that would sting and put that energy into the whinny. Make it loud! And good luck....

  • My band is going to play Sleigh Ride in a week or two. Im having a tough time doing it but or trumpet guide said to start with the valves already half down. Is it still ok to do this

    Yes, that'll work, too. Use lots of air to make it as loud as you possibly can since with the valves halfway down the horn is much quieter. Good luck!
