Drakensberg Boys' Choir: Light Mass: I Kyrie

The Drakensberg Boys' Choir performs the Light Mass (aka Jazz Mass) by Lithuanian composer, Vytautas Miškinis who is also conducting the choir in this performance. Recorded in the Drakensberg during the Music in the Mountains Festival, 1-3 May 2009. The Light Mass was commissioned by the 8th World Symposium on Choral Music in 2008 where it was performed for the first time. This was the second performance of the work.

These boys are truly talented. I've seen a few live performances at their school auditorium. Very entertaining. This school gives opens many doors to these boys which otherwise may have remained closed.
