Hi,
great work! ;)
Could you say me how to connect the MPU6050 to the arduino UNO without external slave sensors?
Thanks in advance.

When I try to downlaod SDK from Developers Corner on INvensense Website I get the folowing msg: "Your current registration status does not permit access to this file. If you have any questions or would like to re-validate your account by registering with your corporate email address, please fill out the form provided on the support page." Do you know how to fix it?

I've been searching for the data output format for awhile. How does the data string look straight out of the device via I2C?

@fax8 That said, I'm putting my eggs in this basket for now, and am trusting that they'll deliver. I've never been disappointed by their chips in the past. Here's my first single-sided 9DOM breakout for it: yfrog[DOT]com/h068xp
@jjjperrin though Invensense hasn't formally released it, you can pull a register map from the header files in the embedded SDK available in the Developers' Corner section of their website. They're still supposedly black-boxing the DMP init and control, but one could probably reverse it if one wanted to. Anyhow, if you want raw sensor data like I was playing with here, look at that header file and you'll know where to start your multibyte read and how to decode it. Keep in mind that you'll need

yeah, that's the same idea I've got of them.. and I've posted my doubts on this chip on my blog and various forums.. I don't understand what they have to hide.

@fax8 Again, this is speculation, but I'd guess that when Sparkfun started releasing the Invensense chips on breakouts, Invensense was hit with an insane number of support requests from novice hardware experimenters. There was no obvious short-term return on the investment that they'd need to make to be able to support them. And so their policy became disengagement. It makes sense for them to focus on high-volume applications developed by companies with fab and distro channels. Sucks for us. :-(

As to why they won't release comprehensive documentation to the Open Hardware community: I don't know. This confuses the hell out of me.

well, I wonder what these people have in their minds.. I mean.. if you really developed such a great device, why the hell can't you describe it's features? I don't get it.

@fax8 This is from the Invensense facebook profile (btw, head over there and drop a like on my comment): "While our solutions have broad applicability, we currently target consumer electronics applications..."
If I had to speculate: if we're not a Nintendo or Samsung they just don't have time for us right now. For the time being they suck at independent developer relations, but I honestly believe that they'll change that when they can.
