Indian Dance Group MAYURI - Choli ke piche

We would like to represent a sketch of human relations named by us "The Fair of the Hearts". For your better understanding we will explain the idea of the dance.

Thus, the main characters:

The coquette -- a girl in red, the first beauty in the village, has very high opinion of yourself. She has many fans for whom she doesn't care, but flirts with them...

The girls in red -- the supporting group of the coquette

The group of moustached and bearded men -- the male contingent of the village. All and sundry are fans of the coquette, but distressed with her indifference crave for revenge.

The neighbor - woman in vinous, sly and double-dealing friend of the coquette, has designs on coquette's fans. She is preparing a great scandal so that the coquette would be deprived of her status of the First Beauty.

The girls in green -- visiting beautiful dolls, who came to the fair, being invited by The Neighbor. They want to show their selves and see others.

The meaning of the song in short:

-What is there under the blouse, oh Beauty?
-My heart, of course!
-What is there under the cape, oh Beauty?
-My heart, of course! And I will give it only to my beloved
-Ooh, how many fans you have!
-Yeah, I have many, but it's a pity I like nobody of them...
-Ooh poor girl,.... You wear perfectly, your skirt is so nice...
-Yes, my skirt is silky and very expensive, everybody looks at me with delight, even I don't know how to hide from men's stares. Fans don't let me pass, everyone tries to win my love.
-Ooh, where is the one and only, who will settle me in his heart.

Awesome dance but being an indian this song is one of the best works of madhuri and as the concept looks same it forces to compare the main lead with madhuri. The choreography is amazing but the main lead isnt as graceful and expressive as the song demands. It felt very unnatural when she was doing it But i loved few steps that were done. Overall an amazing work :)

So sorry you didnt understand our concept! You can read it from MORE INFO. According to it, the lead dancer did her part very well. Maybe Madhuri is your favorite actress, and this fact force you to compare. Madhuri is great dancer indeed, but as for this particular song, there was no any concept of dance, just few really good steps and "ang pradarshan" of Madhuri. Maybe to appreciate the talent of our soloist you have to see Satrangi,as there was not Madhuri in original song:) Anyway,thank you!

You guys provide clean entertainment through dance without nudity since you are still blessed by goddess Saraswati. The day you resort to nudity you will lose that divine touch. Madhuri wsa playing the role of an undercover police officer disguised as a courtesan in that movie. Hence the angpradarshan. So please don't compare yourself with her. Focus on what you are doing as you still have a long way to go.

Don't get sucked into an argument with someone and then show contempt towards another artist. Madhuri is not only a Kathak but also an actress and the best and the most complete one ever at that. The role in the movie demanded her to do what ever "ang pradarshan" she has done. I personally think that nudity was not required though. But such is the Indian film industry.  You guys are different.
