Recorded live at Jan Markell's "Understanding the Times 2009" Conference. Eric Barger defines "New Age" and "Emergent" as he begins the message titled "Is Your Church Emergent, New Age or Christian?" (Oct 10, 2009) ... (more info) (less info)
Oh so now we've gone from "Evangelicals and Fundamentalists" to "Evangelical-Fundamentalist religious extremists" now? Shifting the goal posts a bit aren't we? And what exactly do you define as such? And when you say this ill defined group that seems to be quickly morphing into something else before our eyes, don't follow the example of the Christ of the Bible, what exactly do you mean?
Reason? None given, except that you clearly hold your own opinion to be the preeminent authority.
In your original post you say "if Jesus were alive today". Didn't the Jesus of the New Testament rise from the dead? You don't explain how "Evangelicals and Fundamentalists" make this Jesus "hateful". And it seems you are unable to discern the difference between, "in the name of", and the Christianity which involves actually believing in and following the Christ of the Bible.
You deduced this from my one sentence comment did you? Or are you so incredibly full of yourself that such non sequiturs are the order of the day for you? Your comment that I responded to you was so amazing in its presumptuous and self centred arrogance that you simply asserted Jesus would say and do exactly what you say he would based on nothing at all but yourself and your own assertion of Unitarian Universalism. Your authority is yourself. So who is playing God here?

@myrbl30 The Dead Sea Scrolls would beg to differ. You are quite wrong, and the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls show that.

@Keruaran
The whole point is that Evangelical-Fundamentalist religious extremists do not follow the example of the Christ of the Bible.
