  • What place did the majorette corps for CHS win that year...for routine and marching?....Great routines, did not find a baton drop from what I could see. I was at SAHS from 1984-1987

  • @kitswf Majorette Corps Routine: 3rd Majorette Corps Marching: 4th

  • I agree! Thanks for visiting :-)

  • If anyone out there happens to have the performance of the second half of this festival (Originality / Boy Twirler) by CHS, it would be a great addition to this (hint, hint).

  • It is a very precious picture.

Marching band and Majorette are very wonderful.

  • Thanks! :)

  • I too was a member of this amazing band from 1978 - 1980. There are no words to describe the positive impact it had on me. Mr. Leurant was one in a million. We were all like a big happy family. I will always cherish these memories for they were some of the best years of my life.

  • I was boy band captain in the '78 CHS band. Those were the days when folks came to see the band, instead of the football team! Cheers to all the CHS band musicians, majorettes, twirlers, and auxiliaries, and especially Bob Williams, Bob Leurant, and Bobby Scott!

  • God these guys are good :D!

  • @jelowery2 ROBBED...I am assuming your were the twirler??? Twirler, corps and downfield should have been much higher. I don't remember what SAHS placed that year...and I was a member! If you have full stats, please let me know at kbillyk@comcast.net. Thanks for the blast from my past!

  • Great video. I attended Stonewall Jackson and it's so nice to see majorettes when they were REALLY majorettes. Thanks for posting!

  • OMG!! Total Blast from the Past. I went to Sissonville, and was in Junior High in these years. It was hard to see CHS torn down years ago. That's where my father went.

Anybody have any of the old Junior High Majorette festivals, they were held in May?

I would Love to see some of those.
