Scholars routinely observe that the advent of radio reshaped political speech. But for more than a decade before the first commercial radio broadcast station was inaugurated in Pittsburgh in 1920, citizens had been listening to candidate speeches. This feat was made possible by the phonograph.

I will be uploading the contents of this 100 year old collection of campaign speech audio from 1908 and 1912 in its entirety.

The comments are filled with bad things about Wilson, yet the video has no dislikes.

So tell me, despite the fact that Kevin Johnson is being unnecessarily vulgar, what facts you have to back up your point. He has some, he presents them in an impolite fashion which is completely unnecessary and which he should realize is no way to win an argument, however, what he's saying is true, or, at least, has facts behind it, whereas your argument has very few behind them.

P.S. This is how a socialist argues.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic so as to say "FDR wasn't murdered, dumbass." Does that clear things up?

Last I checked, strokes weren't weapons of murder. They're just painful reminders of our own mortality, something FDR apparently liked to ignore sometimes. The guy saw himself as a god.

Exactly. You could actually argue he's worse than the Southern segregationists. At least they had the shadow of a reason to do it - they had to win re-election in a racist South. He was a Democratic President from New Jersey, and as a Democrat there was no way he would lose the Solid South.

No. He chose to resegregate government, not for political expediency, but for a vitriolic personal hate.

And he was a "Progressive." Totalitarians of a feather...
