Here is a divertimento in three short movements that I have composed using Notion 3 from notionmusic.com. It shows some of the possibilities that this powerful program gives you, with its very efficient combination of notation and sequencer features. One of Notion's obvious strenghts is its ease of use, another one being its accurate and realistic rendering of your notation by means of a huge, built-in sample library, or by means of any VST library. It's not only VST compatible, it even comes with presets for popular, high quality libraries like Miroslav Philharmonik, East West Symphony Orchestra Gold/Platinum and Vienna Symphonic Library. Please send me a message at otto.m.christensen@gmail.com if you want pdf-files of score & parts.

  • The software is impressive, but what I really want is the piece itself. Is there a publisher to contact?

  • @Morrisbassoon Thanks a lot for you interest! I can mail you the score/parts, if you like. You will find more information in an e-mail message that I have sent to you.

  • I Would Love to have the score and parts to this, but not pdf, preferably the notion File. Is this possible?

  • @18101856

I'd love to play that for my school's solo and ensemble. Could you get me the music too?

  • this is epic!

  • @aleksanderjal Nearly limitless notation capabilities is an obvious strength of Finale and Sibelius. These apps are the primary choices for copyists, as the case stands right now. But when it comes to composing, Notion is a far better choice, IMHO. An intuitive user interface and a faster workflow let you concentrate on composing, and superior playback features lets you monitor and manipulate your ideas in an efficient way -- and the end result nearly sounds like real music!

  • @18101856 What are the differences between Finale and Notion? (I love Miroslav Philharmonik, wish I could get my hands on EWQL or Vienna Symph.)
