This show followed Captain Kangaroo on weekday mornings. Look for the snippet of a McDonald's commercial with Ronald McDonald's flying hamburger.

  • My favorite cartoon was the one with the farmyard animals that try to fly into the air to bring music and sound back down to earth. I don't know what the title was or what studio made that cartoon. Anybody remember that cartoon? The ending was great.

  • Who had the cool cartoons?

  • @yaggazoozy Interesting in that Hoolihan replaced Howard Hoffman in 1965 doing the weather on late-night news.

  • IS THIS DUDE STONED?

  • Is it me, or does Franz have a load in his pants?

  • the voice over was a fellow named Howard Hoffman. He was a part time anchor on the weekend news.

  • Growing up in Washington, D.C., I, too recall the Flying Hamburger...didn't seem to be a terribly reliable aircraft at times...I seem to recall it backfiring on startup at some point...

  • It's from the 60's you can tell by the promotion of IN COLOR and the McDonald's commercial at 2:19 that's what I wanted to see was Ronald's flying hamburger. They need to bring back the flying hamburger.

  • Sounds a LOT like Bob Wells, aka, Hoolihan!

  • Who was the voiceover on 0:47- 0:59 WJW Channel 8 ID intro for "Franz the Toymaker?
