Go Vegan Radio's Bob Linden interviews Kenneth Damro, a former hunter, fisherman, livestock farmer and trapper who re-routed his life path after shunning cruelty in favour of compassion. Now an outspoken vegan, Ken has dedicated his life to promoting kindness towards animals. He is the author of "A Northwoodsman's Guide to Everyday Compassion" (ISBN-10: 1595940634)

In this fascinating interview, he reveals the moment (while watching a baseball game) that he fully realised the suffering caused to animals by humans. He speaks about his transformation from animal killer to animal defender and about how his book aims to inspire people to make the positive change to veganism.

A description of the book - The prescription for peace, happiness, and sustainability on planet Earth is at your fingertips. If only we dare to muster up the courage to stretch open our hearts and minds, all good things are possible. "A Northwoodsman's Guide to Everyday Compassion" is a manual for living on planet Earth. The author views the world through eyes of grace, yet addresses the stickiest of issues. The book leads readers on an emotional roller coaster of exploration and introspection, leaving them with a sense of inspired motivation.

  • This is so kool

  • @bluehorse888 It is great compassion you have! You can stop eating meat, when you feel really ready to let it go :-) it how I did it. once I decided and was ready to give up meat I did, then the dairy.

  • Kenneth Damro you sir have seen the light, you have opened your heart for the animals. You have seen the truth of animal murdering cruelity. I am very proud of you. For a hunter going vegan must be a very rare. Hunters are nothing but dark sided animal killers who have no feeling for animals.

  • This guy seems like a real manly type of man ;). Nothing wrong with that, I hear they are legalizing that slowly but surely now ay days..

  • it couldnt hurt I suppose. I do still like meat, but it's true that meat farming isn't very good for the environment, etc. I do try to get most of my susstinance from veggies like rice, pasta etc tho. thanx for the enncouragement! :)

  • I killed a couple animals when I was a little kid , birds, etc. and I'm 25 now and feel so bad and guilty about it now..don't think I could ever hunt again, but I do still eat meat..hipocritical I know.
