Tribute To My Horse - Taz - RIP

This was my first ever horse. I rescued him from bad conditions and gave him a chance at life. He was very nervous to start with and with time we began to bond. I only got 9 weeks with him when he collapsed whilst out riding and although desperate efforts were made we lost him soon after. RIP Taz

I am very sorry for your loss. I have never had a horse of my own, but i spend a lot of time around them, and there is a particular horse that i love. If i ever lost him, i would die. Especially for your first horse ever, this must be heart breaking. I hope you are okay. I know it is hard to try to forget when someone you truly love has just been lost. He is looking over you now, and he is very proud of whatever you are doing now. I'll pray for you and i hope you are okay. Stay strong...=)

im so sorry to hear about your horse... we might have to put down my horse and she is the horse that taught me everything to know about horses and riding. i really hope that i dont have to loose her...

I had my horse danny he was abandon for 15 years. He was scared and very sick. we started to look after him and he started getting better :) he even started to trust humans...but he had a tumor in his eye which now has sunken into his brain..

he used to be amazing and loving but now hes nearly blind and deaf :( The tumor has made him mad and scared again. I miss him so much and we had to put him down :( he had such a bad life...

I'm am very sorry for your loss, you did an amazing thing with Taz because no matter how bad he was, you didn't give up on him and it all paid off in the end. You showed him how to trust humans again even though he had been brutally neglected. You have an amazing gift to be able to do something like that.

You should feel proud of yourself for giving Taz the life he deserved after all the neglect and cruelty shown to him before.

I know how you feel...I rescued a horse and went through the same problems...but we also bonded but only two years later she died for me!! I am sorry for your loss :(

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know people say that they understand, but until you actually lose a horse its hard to imagine the pain and sense of loss. I lost my horse in December '10 and she was my best friend, and our bond was just as if she was part of my family. Stay strong, I know its hard to think about him but don't try to forget about him, okay? Just remember all the happy memories, and think about how happy he is now, you will see him again someday!
