Love is the drug - Roxy Music are an English art rock group formed in November 1970 by Newcastle (UK) University art graduate Bryan Ferry. The group's, line-up changed over the years, members include: Phil Manzanera (guitars), Andy Mackay (saxophone and oboe), Paul Thompson (drums and percussion) led by its main singer Bryan Ferry, born 26 September 1945 in Washington, Sunderland (UK). In many ways, Roxy Music was way ahead of its time, but Ferry is still touring. The group was a significant influence on early English punk music. It was a model for many acts, including: New Wave, David Bowie, Devo, Talking Heads, U2 and Coldplay. Roxy Music broke up in 1983, and then reunited for a concert tour during 2001. Between 1972 and 2007, Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry have released some 29 albums and 23 singles. They have announced that they are recording a new album in 2010.
