Video Review: Filco Majestouch (MX Blues) Mechanical Keyboard

This is a video review for TheGeekery.org of the new Filco Majestouch fullsized mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue keyswitches and a metallic blue finish. The Filco line was previously distributed in North America by EliteKeyboards.com, but when their distribution deal ended, they keyboards were only available through Asian import.

Now that KeyboardCo is selling these boards through Amazon.com, they're once more available in the US and they are fantastic. This review takes you through the basics of mechanical keyboards and the nature of this fantastic piece of hardware.

Does the space bar remain still no matter where you press your thumb? Or does it "see-saw" like my Microsoft spacebar?

@L4GL3ss The space bar is almost completely stable. The side you press might start to go down very slightly faster than the other end, but it's virtually imperceptible.

@RDH7207 The Razer BlackWidow is a fine, fine mechanical keyboard, especially for its price. Razer keycaps have a nasty tendency to "wear through" because of the rubberized coating they put on them, but if you don't buy the backlit-key version (the Ultimate), then this won't be much of an issue. It also uses Cherry MX Blues like my keyboard, and adds media keys and even macro keys. Some people dump on its build quality, but most people who get one have no issues at all. No shame in Razer!

Just ordered the Majestouch 2 Ninja with Cherry MX Blues. Beer killed my G15 and after typing on a keyboard with Cherry MX Blues and watching this review I budged. So, well done.
