Okay - please see comment from blythey81 (who made the answer message and is from Wigton!) - i'm not sure how this isn't a Cumbrian accent - it's just not a West Cumbrian accent but if you've been around Cumbria you'd have heard this sort of accent for sure (at least i did, and i'm frae Whitehaven). It's -not- a West Cumbrian accent though - confusion caused by the pictures from Whitehaven :)

I did this recording. it used 2 be my mates garage n a recorded it 4t laugh. rs fre wigton n its wigton crack. not jam eater crack!!

@blythey81 thanks mate! Enjoyed it when i came home and my dad played it. I regret putting "spoof" as it's confused people :) As per INUZUKAJADEY93 - this sounds every bit like a Northern Cumbrian accent to me but i'm a bit older than most and i've not lived in cumbria for 18 years (but my family do).
It's certainly not a Whitehaven accent - again - shouldn't have put pictures up of Whitehaven i guess. But anyways, i was rolling with laughter when i heard it. Top stuff. *thumbs up*

The pics are from Whitehaven and that is a crap attempt at a Cumbrian accent. It sounds NOTHING like Cumbrian.

@bearbearbethany not sure why i used the word "spoof" - as far as i am aware this was the answer machine message for MD Sellers Body Repairs and Tower Coaches in Wigton. Sounds every bit like a North Cumbrian accent to me - though, yes, the pics i took when i went home to Whitehaven and the accents a fair bit different there
