What Was Your First Smartphone?

Mitch, a member of the LockerGnome community, asked: "What phone did you use before the iPhone?"
I've had so many phones in my life, and spent a lot of money on them. If you were to graph how much money I spent on the iPhone compared to other phones, the other phones would beat out the iPhone ten-fold.
Directly before the iPhone, I owned a Samsung Blackjack. The Blackjack came with two batteries, one was smaller that gave the phone a slimmer profile but didn't last very long. The other was large and quite bulky, but lasted quite a long time. The operating system was Windows Mobile 6.0, and navigation was done using a directional thumb pad. The screen was a 2.4" and supported only 320 x 240 pixels. It shot video, but it wasn't nearly as soon as what is available on todays smartphones.

siemens was my first phone and it was great and my first smartphone was xperia x10 and the screen was terrible and my current phone is a htc radar with windows phone 7.5 and i love it

the palm centro was my first smart phone. Got the job done with many of my needs and had a lot of software choices to choose from.

I went through so many feature phones, but my first smartphone was the Android G1. I didn't even follow Android before it came, I mostly just walked into a T-Mobile store one day, saw it, and fell in love.
I've since upgraded to the G2. If there's a G3, I'll be in line to get it.

I had a Samsung something random string of numbers that was a bulky, simple flip phone. then two years after that i got the Samsung Rogue in 2009, which was kind of like a smartphone but not really, more like a cheap multimedia phone. Then about a month ago I got my first 'real' smartphone in the form of the Verizon iPhone 4S
