Yes, he played Joker, who was indeed one of Batman's enemies. Joker was a sly fellow, always trying to eliminate Batman, which has not worked yet. Batman always finds a way to avoid Joker's traps, and if you've ever seen some of the Batman movies, Heath Ledger was one of the actors involved. Joker has always tried and tried to eliminate Batman, but Batman's always been a step ahead of Joker, even in the toughest of times.

If you didn't know, Heath Ledger played Batman's arch-foe Joker in the Batman series up until his death before he could star in another Batman movie. Heath died of a possible drug overdose.

Man, what a heart breaking news to hear =( it still shocks me that a beautiful and a down to earth guy like Heath has passed away =( no one desrves to die...but lifes just a bitch at times =( thats why I don't trust any thing from the doctors you just dont know how strong they are then one day its your life art risk =(
