This video shot behind Custom Blacksmithing, looking to the east side of Waterloo, this railroad bridge was swept away about 3 hours later!

  • I was there on my bicycle at about the same time you were filming. I find it amasing that the other bridges stayed put, and also that an old, rotten railroad bridge that is no longer used , on the Black Hawk Creek was under water and still didn't budge. I have been under that bridge. I have video of San Souci Island and the Deere's foundry, had to go through a spot of water on the river road to get downtown. I think the river went up about 25 feet. I am sure I will never forget that.
