Well Steam is no longer the place to play MW2. AlterIWnet has dedicated servers.  Go to their homepage and downloads...read...and get in on the action. But if they catch anyone cheating they will be banned. permanently ..... have fun...

i sometimes run a private hacked server that gives you slightly faster running slightly higher jumping an slightly lower gravity, it's great fun and it doesn't ruin the game like this.
