This picturesque video interpretation of Donovan's song celebrates the real Hurdy Gurdy Man, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The Maharishi, spiritual advisor to the Beatles and many others, introduced the Transcendental Meditation movement to the West in 1959. He died at age 91 in his Dutch home in Vlodrop on February 5, 2008.

  • Beautiful video. Donovan is currently heading up the musical wing of the David Lynch Foundation which makes Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation program available to at risk youth, Native Americans, homeless, and soldiers with PTSD. DavidLynchFoundation dotorg.
