First up is the live recording Dorothy made of the Bacharach / David song "If I Could Go Back", featured in the Columbia musical remake of "Lost Horizon" - the concert dates from November 1972.

At 4:29, it is followed by the studio recording she made, which she mentions in the introduction to the first track. The 7" vinyl of the single is dated 1973.

  • Does anyone know where I can download a good quality version of Dorothy's version of this great song? Thanks!

  • what a wonderful song if only we could go back and learn from our mistakes

  • Does anyone have a live version of Dorothy singing this song? There used to be one on YouTube, but it's disappeared.

  • She sings it beautifully. I love this song. They never quite figured out how to incorporate it into the film Lost Horizon. So much so, that the song was quickly cut after it's initial premiere.

  • One day this artist will be rediscovered more widely and there will be a realisation that she should have been lauded in her lifetime.

  • The vocals on this are unbelievable the way Dot goes higher and higher FABULOUS many thanks for this its a gem.
