First up is the live recording Dorothy made of the Bacharach / David song "If I Could Go Back", featured in the Columbia musical remake of "Lost Horizon" - the concert dates from November 1972.
At 4:29, it is followed by the studio recording she made, which she mentions in the introduction to the first track. The 7" vinyl of the single is dated 1973.
She sings it beautifully. I love this song. They never quite figured out how to incorporate it into the film Lost Horizon. So much so, that the song was quickly cut after it's initial premiere.
Does anyone know where I can download a good quality version of Dorothy's version of this great song? Thanks!

Does anyone have a live version of Dorothy singing this song? There used to be one on YouTube, but it's disappeared.

One day this artist will be rediscovered more widely and there will be a realisation that she should have been lauded in her lifetime.
