In my Explorer 380x and SE330, I sit on the seats that come with the deluxe packages. In my 380x, I also use the optional thigh straps which really help with stability and paddle power. I've been in up to class 4 rivers in flood conditions with my Explorer, and it handled wonderfully! Of course with drain valves open. My next Sea Eagle will probably be a Fast Track, so let me know how you go with it in rapids.
Nice. I just got one of these - the 385 FastTrack. Do you guys sit on the floor when doing WhiteWater? I haven't hit many rapids and am trying to get a good strategy for using my Sea Eagle.
With the Explorers, we sit on the deluxe seats. With the SE Sport kayaks, the cheaper, lower center of gravity canoe seats are better. Just ordered my first FastTrack yesterday, so don't know what works best with that one yet. I thought the deluxe seats would work well in rapids or flat water. Have you experienced any problems?
