spanish and portugeese are very similar I know that, but I'm curious are there also words of arabic origin in portugeese? I'm learning spanish and know that the Arabs once invaded spain and thats why there are some arabic wors in spanish

well anyways I think his english is OK considering he was probably not one of the brightest at school and ofcourse his spanish is much better. its easier for him just like it is easier for germans and dutch people to learn english

Anyone who doesnt understand why Cristiano Ronaldo's Spanish, is MUCH BETTER than his English, is an ignorant uneducated individual. Spanish and Portugese are referred to as having mutual intelligibility, meaning speakers of spanish and portugese are but related languages and can readily understand each other without intentional study or extraordinary effort. They are both Romanic languages. For all you ignorant you tubers, now you know. Those that knew, good job.

why are you people so surprised that his Spanish is better than his english? Portugese and Spanish are very similar, IF you know spanish, you can pick up like 80% of it when you listen to a portugese conversation, vice versa, if you speak portugese. Its amazing to me, how ignorant alot of people are. I thought it was widely known, that Portugese and Spanish are sister languages,. I guess I assumed that because im fluent in spanish, and when I hear portugese, I can understand most of it.
