Glad you liked it, a friend put me into these comments.. I remember changing the key to my own favourite because it made it easier for me to play. I just quantized the fast bits.
This remix was done back in 1996! Using just a jv1080.

@brotheredward06 Yes, Tim Forsyth’s version is great—notable because it’s in a different key to the original and a bit longer. There’s also Mordi’s remix (on remix.kewd.org) which I think has punchier lead and drums, although it fizzles out too early at the end. For me, the Liljedahl version is by far the greatest remix, both in terms of rhythm and production. Spectrum fans should also check out an AY remix of the tune by a chiptune band called AY Riders.

My own favourite remix is Tim Forsyth's version, which can be found at remix.kwed.org.

@plaguebeastable Oh yes indeed, Follin loves mixing up the time signatures. Check out the Plok Beach level for more 7/8 goodness!

hiya
i know where you're coming from , i had it on my trusty ole cpc6128 back in the day an fell in love with the soundtrack. i think it at least equals the c64 version if not betters it but then again i may just be biased. i've searched everywhere seeing if anyones uploaded it but alas all in vain. i live in hope.
I LOVE this tune!
I emailed Tim a few years ago - apparently he'd forgotten he even did it until I reminded him.
There are a couple of good remixes of this tune, the best one IMO is by Jogeir Liljedahl from a CD called "Back In Time 3".
Anyone remember Tim's Agent X music for the Spectrum? He somehow got a 1-channel beeper to sound like a proper pop band! Incredible.
The in-game tune was really distinctive, too. Eerie and echoey, like a glass harmonica. I wonder if that was Tim's intention?
