First Guitar Recording

Testing out the Lexicon Lambda, throwing down some misc. metal riffs i've written, goofing up a few times.. nothing fancy, just testing the lambda out mainly.

i have the same thing you have and when ever i try to record, the little line wont move or any thing, i've had it for a month and still haven't figured out whats wrong. i need help.

Post the exact way you have it all wired up and i'll let you know whats happening, im guessing you're connected wrong somewhere.

do you ever hook it up to a mixer and if so does it hum a lot like mine does?

The only time mine hums uncontrollably is when im plugged straight in, guitar to the lambda. When i run a cable direct from the amp to the machine it doesn't hum and sounds pretty clean. Double tracking with my computer (2.8 p4) is kind of a chore though, it errors out sometimes in the middle of playing.

i used to get the same issu with my old pc u shud consider a dual core processor coz cubase runs a dream on it.
