For example where I live, the "average" citizen can not own hand guns. That does not seem to stop the criminals from getting them and using them.

I think there may be a flaw in your logic. Assuming that it is possible to control access to dangerous technology within your country. It certainly would not be possible on a global scale.

By The way 911 did not use a gun. And yet used a mode of transportation, are you going to advocate NO FLYING? Cars can kill. Obviousely car bombs are deadly. I figure that since I live in USA, if I decided to fight my gov, I would use the same tackticks as Iraqi insurgents. Roadside bombs, false police call ins, and bomb waiting for them, guns prevent none of this. See how the gun problem is really NO PROBLEM?

Controlling guns controls nothing. we will always have guns, legal, or illegal. You seek to make criminals out of average people unessisarily. I am a gun owner, and have NEVER used my gun in an unlawful way. that is reason enough to leave gun laws where they are. Stop, trying to push your view of some american's onto the lawful american public. Take away our freedoms, one by one, is no good. As long as we keep our guns, we are a force to be reconded with. Take away our guns we are stooges.

describe your vision of a future where technology continues to progress (including Social infrastructure dependence on technology) and where there is no limit an individual's ability to use "and abuse" that higher technology... 911 demonstrated a clear vulnerability, you apparently can't learn the lesson until you are in the process of being killed by it.
