Yeah its good for for first attempt.

To do it better should fade better in the grunge layer, lower the opacity a bit like 50 - 60%. You could see that this layer was moving a bit to fix this draw a mask around the eyes and nose and around the mouth. Put the mask in "subtract" mode and feather the mask not too much.

Fading in and out timing could be better.

When you do this it shouldnt look like you have put layers on each other.
