The FNFAL can be used to clear rooms. Park yourself 400 yards away, and clear the room through the walls =D. 7.62x51mm Nato packs quite a punch and has some penetration power.

I love that weapon, You're very fortunate to be able to shoot semi auto, In u.k we are limited to single shot versions.

I remember firing the L1A1 but never experienced that sort of recoil, it was smooth
and no trouble

Ah nostalgia. I won a regimental cup with one of these. A great surprise... Happy days.

went to a demo moons ago. Garand, AK47, M1? BAR. The SLR out punched them all with ease. 3 of 5 rounds penetrated a double sandbag wall. Double bricks and blocks were powdered. Hit figure 4 targets at 600 Mtrs. with no problems. {prone} 300 Mtrs. a dodel. I did prefer the FN though a little shorter, lighter and full auto.

Can I suggest eye and ear protection?

Can any user of the Indian made magazine for this rifle confirm if they are having trouble loading the maximum 20 round of 7.62mm ammunition?. In my magazine, I simply cannot load more than 16 rounds as I think that the spring below the top platform in the magazine is far more tenser in strength than the NATO equivalent. Does any other user have the same problem?
of the three u fired which one was more accurate? hoping for an rational and unbiased answer.

If you ask me,The INSAS is more accurate because of the smaller round and lesser recoil. But the SLR is more accurate than the AK in my opinion because of the longer barrel. both house a 7.62 cartridge but of different lengths. The punch of the SLR is more because of the bulkier projectile. I'm giving my opinion based on a 200 yards firing distance...

In the united states we collect these. We have some ishapore parts and guns but not many. We have alot more rifles built using british and australian parts. What is the law regarding owning an slr in india?

These weapons are used by the police only. They are not open for public ownership. The army uses INSAS 5.56 rifles.
