@72mach1351 Last year was year 2 for the tree - at the end of year 1 I cut it to the ground - It ended up growing to about 20' last year. This year it has sprouted many branches and seems to be starting to grow out more than up. Right now it has a large cluster of blooms at the top of the tree which are gorgeous.

The trade-off (there always is one) is that it is fragile. It can be destroyed by a strong wind. The upside is that if you cut it completely down, it will grow again from the roots in the spring :)

Hey there, your tree is very nice, I was just wondering, could you take a picture of how it looks now, you don't have to but I would like to see how your tree looks like that way I can know how my empress tree would look like later on, mine is one year old but Im going to cut it to the ground for next year.
