On Parris Island, we went to church every Sunday whether we were religious or not. The song we sung with the second most gusto was "I'll Fly Away". The LAST song we sung, however...
This will ALWAYS send chills up my spine and tears down my face!
Ahh, the fond memories of the quarterdeck and the sand pit at 1st Bn! On a side note, my best Ball ever, I was taking a piss beside a drunk 3 star General with a beer in his hand, and he wished me "Happy Birthday, Devil Dog!!"

@USMCoohrah97 Yes there is a Marine Corps JROTC...my husband was part of it in high school in seattle...and it doesnt really matter if you say hoorah or oohrah...still sounds the same and means the same thing :o)
