Zelda A Link to the Past - Lanmolas - No damage

The Lanmolas beaten without taking damage. Played in real time on Snes9x v1.43 rerecording.

This fight isn't terribly difficult, but to completely avoid getting hit you need to be good at using the knockback from landing a spin attack to push yourself out of the way of the dirt clods from the other two Lanmolas. More than reflexes, this fight is about knowing how to set up your attacks.

If you have it, the Ice Rod is also highly effective against the Lanmolas but is hard to hit with due to its slow projectile speed. If you do use it, it's best to wait until a Lanmola is flying through the air and then fire point blank at its head.

This looks faster than it is on the SNES. On myu copy there's a lot of slowdown when the three Lanmolas are out and the dirt flying. Good job.

Snes9x doesn't always emulate slowdown correctly so that may be why. Though less slowdown is rarely a bad thing.

Unfortunately I don't have the original movie file anymore. My hard drive kind of ate itself a while ago and I lost all the originals other than for my Super Metroid walkthrough.

The only noticeable difference with full 60 fps was that the Lanmolas flashed properly when hit, though.

Ice Rod makes quick work with these guys, but it's kinda annoying to aim at them.

yea i tried them with the ice rod on my 2nd LTTP try. 1st 1 was with slippers

took like 2~3 hits to kill them only

but dam! it wastes so MUUUUCCCHHHH magic.

(good thing the last blast killed the last 1)
