Recensione Asus EeePC S101

ASUS wanted to create a new different product and lay the foundations for the standards of the new generation of PC.

Lets take a closer look to its technical specifics:

The EeePC S101 belongs to the family of 10 inch netbooks, and has a broad and all-bright display, even in critically light conditions.

The hardware is similar to that of other models, except for the disk with 16 Gb SSD technology, that from the tests results to be one of the fastest with this type of technology.

Like Ive already said the design is unique, bearing in mind that the thickness is less than 2.5 cm and the weight is less than 1 Kg.

Screen, keyboard and touchpad are broad and comfortable, and the choice to equip the EeePC S101 with a screen more luminous than usual allows to have a good visibility even in the open air.

To create this model, ASUS hasnt economized: the battery, for the first time on a netbook, make use of the lithium polymer technology, that guarantees better performances and more resistance to thermal shocks, the lot with really narrow thickness and weight.

The connectivity is insured by the presence of Bluetooth and wi-fi card with standard N support; instead, the upgradeability is guaranteed by three usb ports and by multisize card reader.

The EeePC S101 is available with Windows XP home and all the set of supplied software like Microsoft Word, Skype and Start Office pre-installed.

In the packaging, as well as a fine case and a soft cloth to clean the surface of the netbook, there are a useful gadget bag for the feeder and a SPI 16 Gb card that allows to achieve 32 Gb of free space.

Lets take a look at the cost: the EeePC S101 is a top quality netbook, because of the hardware, the design and the material used.

The price, surely above average, must not scare at all: 599 euro are lots of money, its true, but were talking about the most evolved and fastest netbook currently available.
