@llIIIlIIllIIIlIIlllI Tory first needs to learn how the electricity flows, the wires he has connection is just wrong, he has left signal with negative wrapped together and right signal with negative wrapped together, which just short circuits the output from the CD player (just as someone mention in comments below) and like you said there is a coating on the wires on the left right and both negatives to prevent the short circuiting between the wires, just use the right or left + and one - wire.

for people that think this would work go do some research on magnetic fields.

it is indeed a speaker of sorts... but is it efficient or effective? not even noticeably. what kind of magnetic field do you think is created across a dead shorted penny, from a portable cd player? one that cant even vibrate the air enough for you to even hear it.
