Vibist Terry Gibbs,,,What a great,swinging jazz musician! As a 16 year old kid just starting to dig the music I saw Terry w pianist Terry Pollard at the Terrace Lounge, East St Louis,,,about 1953. Ive seen him numerous times since then and his technique amazingly is consistently better than the previous time. Viva Terry Gibbs.

I like his old stuff a lot. Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson and Terry Gibbs are all in a class of their own.
And as far as I am concerned most definitely Hall Of Fame material.

For some reason i like Terry's vibe playing with the two mallets better than someone like Gary Burton who uses four mallets. Maybe it's the hand speed and the fast notes he can play but as a drummer i seem to like this sound better.
