Summerfest promo 2011

Summerfest is an event sponsored by Liberty Family Outreach. Summerfest was born in 2004 to bring hope to struggling families in south Warren and make a difference in their lives. It has since grown to include many communities in Southeast Michigan. During the free event we meet practical and tangible needs, and then inspire people with a positive, motivational message. Volunteers give free haircuts, family portraits, manicures, paint faces, repair bicycles, serve food and more. Doctors and other health professionals provide health and wellness instruction as well as sports physicals for children going back to school. At the end of the day hundreds of school back packs and grocery boxes are provided for
families. Summerfest has grown to include year round follow-up programs that help families through Foster Care Prevention Program, Groceries, Marriage Training, and a mentoring program designed to instill positive values in young adults.
