The movie is about betrayal, desperation, deceit and misunderstanding. The husband betrayed his wife trust by having an extramarital affair. In a state of desperation and self defense he killed his wife. The husband and mistress deceived the handyman and incited his help. The approaching police vehicle caused the mistress to misunderstand that the law has finally caught up with them; her mixed feelings for the handyman put her in a deeper state of confusion and drove her to commit suicide.
