Do you have footage of the mid-way sub-station? It is at 256 Street near 68 Avenue. There is even what looks like one of the little inter-urban stations.

Sumas lake wasn't a man made lake, it was an existing lake that was man-drained in the 1920's!
Look up Sumas Lake in Wikipedia.
That's what the Vedder canal is for, and the Barrowtown pumping station, to keep the reclaimed land dry.

you're absolutely right! I had no idea that I said that in the video, which I took in about 1992. And I even knew that at the time, I have no idea how I cold have goofed on that one. I have studied old maps and seen the shape of the old lake, I knew it was there and it was drained. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll probably remove this video and re-do it without the original narration. mL
