Drummer Bobby Jarzombek drumming along to part of "Multimasking" by Spastic Ink. Amazing stuff. Check out his official site, bobbyjarzombek.com and pick up his DVD. I own a copy and it's amazing stuff. Seems like a real down-to-earth and approachable guy, too... who just happens to be a sick drummer.

  • somthing about his looks and style of playing reminds me of Nico McBrain of Iron Maiden

Ya know what? I never thought of it that way... but you're right! lol

That's pretty funny. 'course the difference is, you can actually see his head over the drums :p

  • Why does his kit sound so terrible? his playing is ok but I have watch several vids and it never "sounds" good?

  • @FPChris

Because it's probably just an average cam set up in the drum room. Also, it's not coming through a soundboard, so it's just a live room recording. It's actually quite clear considering how "low-tech" the setup seems to be.

  • @fatsmut nothing... because is DREAM THEATER!!

  • @FPChris sounds fuckin epic to me bro ;)

  • multi-igiveupdrumming.

  • they should do this song w/o vocals...

  • It's easy to descend into pure technique and mechanical playing in this genre. However, Jarzombek elevates the rhythm and punctuates it with style and fluid dynamics.

    He positively smokes Mangini.

  • God knows why DT didn't have this guy audition. Whether he would have gotten the part, we can't say, but he's definitely more appropriate than a guy like Derek Roddy.

  • @lupine73 In fact, how good it does sound given the primitive recording set-up is a testament to Bobby's exceptionally accurate and consistent playing.

  • If only he was invited to Dream Theater audition
