My name is Melanie and for my ALA 100 class I had to do a Mastery video based on George Leonard's book, Mastery: The Keys to Success and Long-term Fulfillment. The first key to success is instruction/ finding a guide. My guide was my mother. She taught me how to construct the perfect Cincinnati Chili 5-way. There are so many parts to the perfect 5-way and the ingredients are the most important. The second key to success is practice. I had to practice cooking the ingredients just right, and also I had to practice putting just the right amount of ingredients on the plate. The third key to mastery is to surrender to your passion. I did this by surrendering to my teacher, and also sometime in order to become better at your mastery, you have to take a step backwards to take two steps forward. The fourth key is to visualize the outcome. It is very important to see ahead and know what you're going to try and accomplish. Without visualizing the perfect 5-way, it can never be perfect. The last key to mastery is to play the edge. I played the edge by adding ingredients to my 5-way that I feel make it better than the norm. The hot sauce, sour cream, jalapenos, and oyster crackers take my 5-way above all others, and that's mastery! The hidden secrets to my five way are not adding to much chili to the 5-way, I learned this from my guide, my mom. If you add too much chili it becomes an utter mess, and then you won't have the perfect bite from the perfect 5-way.
Skylines hot sauce is "tabasco" poured into different bottles!!
