TCU Lego Robot Battle 2010:

6 teams of 3 members each consisting of Engineering and Computer Science majors from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tools used were Lego Mindstorm RCX 1.0 bricks and various Lego parts. Robots were built over a two week period in which all teams were given the same amount of build time. They were programmed using a third party application.

Goal: Actively seek out your opponent's robot and remove it from the ring.

Rules:
-Bots must wait 5 seconds before moving at the beginning of a round
-Bouts are best out of 3 rounds which are 3 minutes each.
-A point is awarded if the opponents robot is disabled or touches the floor
-The round is reset if the robots become locked together

The competition followed a bracket with the winning student team fighting the professors robot: The Gaussian Eliminator.

I couldn't remember what every bot looked like so if you participated in the competition tell me if I got yours wrong or which one yours is. Also, this doesnt show every battle because I wanted to fit everyone's robot into a 10 minute video.

Competing Robots:

Batman
Mr. Freeze
The Fighting Bison
Rocky Balblowa
The Italian Stallion
The Blind Helicopter

Professor's Robot:
The Gaussian Eliminator

This was a lot of fun and there will be another competition next year! Thanks to those that organized it.
