We Edit Life was commissioned in Spring 2002 by Lovebytes in partnership with the Studio of the North, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Regional Arts Lottery Programme.

The word "retard" is no joke.

Bennett's 'retard' remarks are offensive to a huge section of our society - equally as grim as the use of the 'n' word and BB's Shilpagate. Hate crimes against people with disabilities are on the increase, and sadly Bennett seems to think it funny to make such low level jabs. No wonder she questions the "obscure"
